NPFL: Ekioke strikes late as Lobi stars maintain lead

John Victor Ekioke was the hero of the day for Lobi Stars as his 95th minutes free kick helped the Makrudi Landlord remain as leaders of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL,table.

Abia Warriors took the lead after Fabian Omaka converted a 70th minutes penalty and hope to keep all three points before a 95th minutes foul was committed outside the box area for upcoming John Ekioke stepped in to cause a spoil.

The former Warri Wolves central and right back defensive player has scored 2 goals and made 1 assist in three games to keep Lobi stars floating with 43 points after 23 game.

While Abia Warriors who could not hold her lead are now 10th on the table log with 34 points.
