Director-General of NOTAP, Dr. Umar Bindir, who made the call while receiving the permanent-secretary of the ministry at the agency’s head office in Abuja, explained that the partnership was necessary to help facilitate the mandate of the agency and ministry at large.
‘’We are very happy that we have 100 per cent support from many of the projects that we are taking with industries, we hope the ministry will encourage other agencies to go with us, Dr. Bindir said. ‘’If we continue going away separately this things that we bargain with industries will not be implemented.’’
Other pivotal issues the director-general observed that the ministry must address according to him include the Technology Need Assessment, Technology Impact Assessment and the Technology Foresight projects to enable Nigeria innovate and predict the future of technology development.
