Nigeria’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Mr Demola Rasaq Seriki, is dead.
Seriki, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state, lost the battle with cancer at about 2am Thursday, in Madrid, at the age of 63.
The death of the former minister, who was said to have passed away “surrounded by his family”, was made public in a statement signed by his children.
The statement reads: “Innā lillāhi-wa-innā-ilayhi-rājiun. It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much loved and admired patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Ambassador Ademola Rasaq Atanda Seriki (CON) on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
“He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Madrid, Spain.”
