Nigeria rising global business hub – Investor

Dr Pascal Lorot, founder of France-based Insitut Choisuel, a socio-economic organisation, said Nigeria was one of the promising business hubs in the world.
Lorot said this in Lagos yesterday that in spite of prevailing recession, Lagos state and Nigeria remained viable business arenas for investment opportunities.
He said that Nigeria was capable of wading through the recession because of the current drive by the government to diversify the economy through well-thought out policies.
Lorot said that the opportunities in the country would certainly lead to the rise of entrepreneurs who could make a huge impact in the world economy.
He noted that the organisation had picked Lagos to host a meeting from Nov. 16 to Nov. 18, of 100 selected Africans likely to play major roles in the continent’s economic development.
“The Choisuel 100 Africa is an annual study carried out by the Institut Choisuel. It identifies and ranks the young African leaders of 40 years and below 40 years.
“These young leaders will play a major role in the development of Africa in the near future,’’ he said. According to Lorot, Lagos was chosen as the host city for this year’s meeting because of its huge economic potential.
“The selection of Lagos for this year’s meeting brings noting to doubt as it has played a role in setting a benchmark for other states in Nigeria,’’ he said.
