NFSC warns public against impostors

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) has warned members of the football fraternity and the general public to be wary of some groups of people parading themselves as members of the NSFC and thus deceiving and defrauding the public.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of NFSC, Hafeez Balogun, it also disassociated itself from a certain group of impostors, who have been sending letters to some eminent members of the public inviting them to the ‘launch’ of a secretariat supposedly by the NFSC.
According to Balogun, “The Nigeria football supporters club has been in existence since 1955. We are a properly structured organisation with chapters in virtually all states of Nigeria and in several countries of the world.

“We have a well known national secretariat and I want  to advise members of the general public to disregard any invitation letter supposedly coming from us to launch a new secretariat.
“We understand that some groups of people have been parading themselves in many colours, and using different nomenclatures to claim relevance before the public.

“This group of people have been going about telling innocent Nigerians that they are working and collaborating with Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, the President-General of the NFSC, as well as the National Chairman, Rev. Samuel Ikpea.
“This is a blatant lie and unsavoury attempts to deceive and defraud unsuspecting members of the public. The NFSC, remains the most foremost and globally recognised football supporters club in Nigeria.”
