Jigawa police crackdown on criminals

 

Jigawa state Police command has cracked down on some criminals, including conspiracy and armed robbery, theft as well as unlawful possession of firearms.

Addressing reporters Thursday while parading the criminals at the Police headquarters, the Public Relations of the command, Abdul Jinjiri said a 50-year- old Bashir Audu of Baushi village in Baure LGA of Katsina state was attacked by two men while returning from market.

He said luck ran out for one of the two men who was identified as Bala Haruna who was already arrested. He said one Abdulmutalkib Rabiu 23 in possession of 55inch Plasma TV worth 130,000.00 was arrested.

The PPRO said that Police patrol team in Kirikassamma has arrested one Madugu Ya’u,  22 of Giwa village in Birniwa LGA was arrested with a locally made pistol in his house.

He pointed out that another gang of armed men was arrested in Jahun LGA, numbering seven while operating in one Alhaji Umar Aujara’s resident where they robbed him of unspecified amount of money and some valuables.

Jinjiri further stated that one Abdullahi Musa was also arrested after his GSM handset was found at the scene of the robbery incident and he  is now giving useful information to the police on how to arrest the remaining fleeing suspects.
