NFF Elections: Danladi throws weight behind Alkali

As the Nigeria Football Federation’s elective congress draws nearer, Chairman of Nasarawa United Football Club, Barr. Isaac Danladi(Dan Moren Karu), has said his full support is with the Chairman of Nasarawa State Football Association and Nationwide League One, Alhaji Alkali Mohammed(Sarkin Kasuwan Lafia) who is  contesting for the post of Executive Member, North-Central, into the Board of the Nigeria Football Federation.

In an exclusive disclosure to Nasarawa United Media on Monday, Barr. Danladi said;

“Indeed, the NFF Congress is around the corner, and a lot of stakeholders have expressed interest to contest for one position or the other.

“Interestingly, too, one of our own and son of Nasarawa State, Alkali Mohammed, is vying for the post of Executive Board Member representing the North-Central Zone.

“The Chairman of the Nasarawa State Football Association does possess all the requisite credentials to contest for that position having completely changed the face of grassroots football in Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole through his numerous innovative programmes.

“He is currently heading the largest football league in Nigeria, and probably in Africa, with over two hundred clubs playing in the Nationwide League One.

“You can attest that we had not had it this good in the history of this country’s grassroots football as we are presently enjoying under the leadership of Alh. Alkali Mohammed.

“Also, he is a three-star general in the Nigeria Football Federation, and one of the few individuals with such portfolio in the entire NFF hierarchy. What this means is that, he has been a State Chairman of the FA for three consecutive terms, and this is owing to his marvelous performance and ability to deliver beyond expectations.”
