Nasarawa Tiv caution against campaign of calumny

Leader of Tiv Development Association (TIDA) in Nasarawa state, Hon.
Moses Utondu, has appealed to politicians to desist from sponsoring campaign of calumny against government and individuals as a way of seeking relevance.
He made the appeal yesterday while addressing journalists in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.
Utondu also charged politicians to stop attracting sympathy on the basis of faith and tribal affiliation, even as he advised citizens against politics of blind followers.
He said the desire of Tiv people in Nasarawa state was to see the state growing in unity, peace, security and respect for diversity.
He explained that the leaders of Tiv defectors who recently defected in their thousands from APC to PDP in Nasarawa state have lost out with their constituencies and they are Lafia based politicians who do not have electoral value.
“The so called Mzough U Tiv has lost touch with the people of Tiv and out of visible frustration hide under the imaginary image of Mzough U Tiv to extort money from politicians, “ he said.
He therefore, challenged the Mzough U Tiv who declared their support for senator Suleiman Adokwe for his 2019 bid, to provide them with statistical data of Tiv sons and daughters employed by the senator, as well as the physical infrastructure he attracted to the Tiv community in Nasarawa state since assumption of office as a senator.
He added that Tor Tiv has nev- er proscribed Tiv Development Association (TIDA) adding that he rather advised them to work hand in hand with Mzough U Tiv for the smooth running of Tiv people in Nasarawa state.
