Yobe state governor Mai Mala Buni has charged journalist working in the state to live up to expectations.
Buni made the call while receiving an award of Most Media Friendly Governor, presented to him by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Yobe state chapter at the Banquet hall of the Government House Damaturu.
The governor also had an interactive session with media organisations as well as journalists on ways to improve working environment for journalists in the state.
Responding to some questions by journalist, Buni charged conventional media live up to expectations towards their responsibilities or the social media that is unregulated will fill the gap for them.
The governor appreciated the leadership of the NUJ for the award and charged them to be guided by ethics, fairness and balance in all their write up.
