Lagos FA dissolves, reconstitutes committees

The Executive Committee of the LSFA, after critical review of the Standing Committees, has decided to dissolve all the committees with immediate effect except the Principal Cup and Lagos Street Soccer Competition Committees.

Moving forward, the LSFA has immediately reconstituted relevant standing committees that will help fast track the visions of the executive board.

According to the press release signed by Lagos FA Secretary, Akeem Okikiopusu, the Lagos FA led by its Chairman, Hajji Gafar Liameed, some prominent stakeholders and administrators including former Nigerian international star player, Engr. Waidi Akanni, Adekeye Onadeko, veteran sports journalists Akeem Busari, Wale Joseph, and Dele Gbajumo, are amongst many others listed in the different standing committees.

However, the Principal Cup Committee will be handed over to the owners, All Nigeria Confederations of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPPS),while the Lagos Street Soccer, will equally be handed over to the owners, Lagos State Sports Commission, accordingly.

The statement explained, “This is necessary to ensure transparency and fairness in administration of football, as we will continue to partner with every genuine stakeholders for the development and promotion of football for a Greater Lagos.”

Here are the members of the standing committees, Technical Committee; Mr. Adekeye Onadeko (Chairman), Mr. Olusegun Osinaike(Vice-Chairman), Fashola Fakunle Yusuf, Mr. Gbajumo Oladele, Wale Joseph, David Dosu, Akaluogu Raymond, Ibiyemi Adeleke and Bello Ishola (members). Referees Committee; Hon. Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa (Chairman), Mr. Adams Salaudeen(Vice-Chairman),Dele Atoun (Secretary),Mr. CC Chukwujekwu, Dr(Mrs). Oyekan Olisa Bukola(members).

Match Commissioners Committee; Alhaji Tijani Azeez (Chairman), Mr.Uthman Ola Okunnu and Dr. Kolade Ibrahim (members).

Other committees set up include include Marketing and Women.
