Hazard & Co join former Chelsea striker Demba Ba for charity event after celebrating EPL title success

Chelsea stars Eden Hazard, John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic put their title celebrations on hold on Monday night to join former team-mate Demba Ba at the Human Appeal Celebrity Football Gala Dinner in London.

Fresh from the victory parade through the streets of west London, the Blues players joined a host of famous faces as Ba and friends raised money for the ‘Empire of the Children Project’ in support of Senegal’s street children.

Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o was also in attendance at the Marriott Hotel alongside Arsenal’s forgotten man Abou Diaby and ex-Fulham forward Diomansy Kamara.

The event, which was part-organised by Ba, saw signed Chelsea shirts put to auction while the Besiktas striker took charge of the microphone as he addressed the 600-strong crowd.

Earlier on Monday, Terry and Co had taken to the streets surrounding Stamford Bridge in an open-top bus parade to celebrate their Premier League and Capital One Cup double with the Blues faithful.

‘Book another place for the parade next season,’ said Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho after the bus came to a stop in front of tens of thousands of supporters.
Terry added: ‘I’ve been waiting five years for this. It’s been a long, long time. It’s a new generation for the club and we need to go again.
‘We’re still a young squad, we’re still hungry. It’s down to us to win year after year to put smiles on the fans’ faces.’
