Commuters and travelers are currently stranded as members of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) blocked the entrance of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Abuja.
The organised labour had directed its members in the aviation sector to stop all flights to Owerri, the Imo state capital.
They are protesting the attack on the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, in Imo state last week.
The protesting workers blocked both the entry and exit way of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The protesters attempted to go into the airport, but were stopped by the military at the checkpoint.
