Following the extension of registration deadline for the 2024 Hajj exercise to January 31, Kaduna Pilgrims Welfare Agency, has urged intending pilgrims from Kaduna state to take advantage of the new deadline and ensure they complete their registration before end of the month.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) had extended the 2024 Hajj registration deadline from December 31, 2023 to January 31, 2024 to enable more intending pilgrims conclude their registration for their pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Hajj exercise.
The move was however commended by the Kaduna state pilgrims body, who noted that it would give room for better preparation and increased registration by intending pilgrims.
According to a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Public Relations Officer, Kaduna Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Yunusa Mohammed Abdullahi on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Kaduna Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, “Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency welcomes the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s (NAHCON) decision to extend the Hajj 2024 registration deadline to January 31, 2024.
“This aligns with the call from religious leaders and stakeholders for wider participation in the holy pilgrimage. The extension provides valuable time for those who haven’t registered to fulfil their dream of performing Hajj.”
Malam Salihu called on all intending pilgrims in the state to seize this opportunity and complete their Hajj deposit before the new deadline expires. He reminded the intending pilgrims that registration can only be done through designated registration officers in all the 23 local government areas of the state.
“To initiate the process, intending pilgrims should obtain a customized bank teller from these officers before making their deposit.”
He said that the agency is committed to providing all necessary support and guidance to ensure a smooth and successful hajj experience for all intending pilgrims and urged everyone considering hajj 2024 to act quickly and make use of this extended timeframe.
