The Ohanaeze Youth Coalition Worldwide (OYCW) says diversionary actions of Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state is hindering the progress being made in resolving the security crisis in the state.
It said the crises in state must be addressed to restore peace and stability to the region.
The coalition through its President General Emeka Ogudu, said the Governor Lawal’s persistent blame game against the federal government is a deliberate strategy aimed at deepening misunderstandings and frustrating collaboration against insecurity.
He further said that Governor Lawal’s call for the President’s resignation adds complexity to the situation.
” While he has the right to express his opinion, the coincidence of targeting both the former governor and the President raises suspicions about his true intentions,” he said.
He said it is necessary to critically analyze the reasons behind the governor’s demand and evaluate whether it is based on genuine concerns or political maneuvering.
“The OYCW recognizes the significance of all stakeholders, including government officials, security agencies, and local communities, working together towards a common goal to combat insecurity.
“We condemn the diversionary actions of Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State. His persistent blame game, public scrutiny, and absence undermine progress in resolving the security crisis and erode trust in his leadership,” he said .
