Gov. Mbah is God-sent – Ex-guber candidate Ugwu

The governor of Enugu state, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has been described as a Godsent for piloting the affairs of the state beyond expectation.

Former governorship candidate of defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011, Ozo Chief Emmanuel Ugwu, Aka Enyiduru made the declaration during his 61st birthday party held at Amechi, Awkunanaw, Enugu South local government area.

Ugwu, a philanthropist who singlehandedly built a 500 kilometre road in his community in 2021, said Mbah had embarked on several developmental projects and infrastructure, especially, roads and water supply.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank Gov. Peter Mbah for the way he has been piloting the affairs of the state since assumption of office.

“The governor is a Godsent. You saw the way he has been building Odudukoko, Emeka Ebila and others roads. Apart from this, he was able to provide water for most parts of Enugu within 180 days as he promised during his campaign.

He expressed gratitude to Mbah for appointing one of their sons, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

Ugwu who is also the Chairman of Ohaneaeze Ndigbo, Enugu South chapter and Chairman of Nze n’ Ozo title holders in Enugu South, used the opportunity to thank the former governor of old Anambra state, Chief Jim Nwobodo for all he did for the entire state and especially Amechi, Awkunanaw people in his days as governor.

The birthday ceremony which was held in his country home, Amechi , Awkunanaw attracted prominent personalities from all walks of life.
