Gov Bello celebrates Yomi Awoniyi @60

Kogi state governor Yahaya Bello has felicitated with the former deputy governor of the state, Arch. Yomi Awoniyi on the occasion of his 60th birthday anniversary.

Bello, in a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, described Awoniyi as a cool, easy going gentleman with an unassuming posture and quiet mien.

He said Arch. Yomi Awoniyi has over the years proved himself to be a worthy ambassador and representative of the renowned Sunday Awoniyi’s dynasty.

Bello noted that apart from Yomi’s contributions to the development of Kogi state as a deputy governor, he equally made remarkable strides in the field of architecture.

He recalled some of the architectural projects the former deputy governor took part to include the National Library Project, Abuja; an official residence in the presidency, Abuja; the Millennium Tower Project, Abuja; CAC Prototype office buildings in different states across the country; the Abuja Light Rail project; Itakpe Iron Ore project and Ajaokuta Steel Company projects, amongst others.
