FCT Police nab 4 for stabbing resident in Jabi 

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, attached to the Utako Divisional Headquarters, have arrested four suspects in connection with the stabbing and causing grievous hurt on one Labaran Usman in the Jabi area of the FCT.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Command, SP Josephine Adeh, who disclosed this in a press statement, on Thursday in Abuja, said the officers initially arrested Mubarak Ibrahim, 24; Mohammed Adamu, 18; and Aliyu Ibrahim, 19; while  responding to a distress call that someone was stabbed by a group of young men, suspected to be cult members, around Jabi Car Park.

She said exhibits recovered from the suspects included two daggers used in the perpetration of the dastardly act. 

The spokesperson further stated that the team while intensifying investigations, arrested another member of the group, one Ibrahim Tsoho Musa, 48, from Jos North LGA, Plateau state, on the same date.

A search was conducted on Musa’s residence at Angwa Fulani Bwari, FCT, at 18:00hrs, she said lead to the discovery of one locally fabricated rifle, loaded with six rounds of ammunition, one military camouflage trouser, and two daggers.

Investigations by the Police team have further revealed how the suspects perpetrated the crime and other nefarious activities within the FCT, SP Adeh added.

She said effort was on top gear to unravel the source of the recovered firearm and also to clamp down on other members of the criminal syndicates still at large.

Meanwhile, the victim, 32-year-old Kaduna state indigene, who was promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention, was confirmed to be recuperating.

Adeh stated the Commissioner of Police in charge of the FCT Command, CP Haruna Garba, while commending the men, tasked them to aggressively flush out miscreants from the Territory.
