EFCC arraigns coy manager over ‘criminal misappropriation’

A Kano state High Court presided by Justice Abdullahi Bayero has adjourned its sitting to June 23, 2014, for commencement of a hearing  into a case of 72-count charge of criminal misappropriation, contrary to Section 309 of Penal Code between EFCC against one Victor Okereke a manager of Kenechukwu Eruchi and Co. Firm Estate Surveyor And Valuers.

EFCC’s counsel, Barrister Aisha Tahir Habib, said the accused person was employed as a manager in Kenechukwu Eruchi And Co, alleging that over the period of time during his employment he collected a rent of over N10 million from different Tenants occupying property under the firm and dishonestly converted same to his personal use, saying that such action breach his terms of employment.
When the case came up for mention, the accused person, through his counsel, Barrister U.U Uche, denied all the 72-count charge.
