DG NILDS preaches forgiveness @ Christmas

The Director-General (DG) of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman, has urged Nigerians to embrace the virtue of forgiveness at Christmas and beyond.

Professor Sulaiman who stated this in  a goodwill message to Nigerians, Monday, emphasised the significance of the Christmas season as a time for reflection on the virtues of forgiveness, charity, and sacrifice as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

According to him, Nigerians need  to embrace the spirit of inclusiveness, renewal, and collective prosperity in line with  the values promoted by the NILDS.

“As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, let’s use this occasion to exchange goodwill within our communities and extend compassion to the less fortunate among us,” he said.

He expressed optimism for a hopeful future, drawing parallels between the rebirth of hope during Christmas and the positive developments in the nation with a government that advocates inclusiveness and individual prosperity.

The DG extended warm congratulations to all Christians on witnessing yet another Christmas season, highlighting the importance of coming together with family, neighbors, and communities during this joyous occasion.
