Delta CJ swears in CTA’s Faith Nwadishi, others as Justice of Peace

The Chief Judge of Delta state has sworn in Executive Director, Centre for Transparency Advocacy (CTA), Faith Nawdishi, and others as Justices of the Peace.


The CTA is a non-governmental organisation based in Nigeria that promotes transparency, accountability, and good governance.


The Centre in a congratulatory message to the executive director, the Programme/Communications Manager, MacDonald Ekemezie, Thursday in Abuja, said the ceremony took place at the High Court in Kwale, Delta State, on May 17, 2023, and was conducted by Justice D C Maidoh, representing the Chief Judge of Delta state.”


The statement read: “The Centre for Transparency Advocacy (CTA), is delighted to announce the momentous swearing-in ceremony of Faith Nwadishi, Executive Director of CTA, as a Justice of Peace.
“The honorable ceremony took place at the High Court in Kwale, Delta State, on May 17, 2023, and was conducted by Justice D C Maidoh, representing the esteemed Chief Judge of Delta state.”


It further stated that, “As an organisation dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and justice in Nigeria; the CTA commends Faith Nwadishi on this remarkable achievement.


“The swearing-in ceremony marks a significant milestone in her career, further reinforcing her commitment to upholding the principles of fairness, impartiality, and the rule of law.


“Faith Nwadishi’s appointment as a Justice of Peace is a testament to her unwavering dedication to justice and her outstanding contributions to good governance, extractive justice, rule of law and sustainable development in Nigeria.

“Throughout her tenure as the CTA Executive Director, Ms. Nwadishi, has consistently advocated for transparency, good governance, and the protection of citizens’ rights. Her appointment serves as recognition of her exemplary service and expertise in these areas.


“The CTA applauds the Governor of Delta state, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for acknowledging Faith Nwadishi’s exceptional qualifications and meritorious service.
