Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has Friday signed two bills establishing the Hisbah Commission, and the Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency (YITDA) into law.
The Hisbah Commission law will monitor the enforcement and implementation of Shariah and prevent other social vices in the state.
Similarly, the Yobe State Information Technology Development Agency law will coordinate and collaborate with institutions in mentoring and training of youths in the field of information technology in the state.
The two laws enacted by the Yobe state House of Assembly and signed by His Excellency Governor Buni, comes into effect Friday October 6 2023.
