BUA foundation donates three ambulances to JSG

In an effort to keep the state safe from the grisly Covid-19 pandemic, Jigawa state government has received the donation of three Ambulances from the chairman of BUA group of Companies, Alhaji Abdulsamad Ishiaka Rabi’u.

Presenting the three ambulances yesterday in Dutse, the head of BUA rice company and Managing Director, Alhaji Abdullahi Aminu ‎said the foundation has donated the Ambulances in addition to N7 billion worth of donations made earlier to the state.

The Managing Director said the gesture is the company’s little way of showing concern to those that have either lost their lives, or affected by the virus as well as support the state in making sure the situation is put under control.

Governor Badaru Abubakar said, while receiving the three Ambulances that ‎the state do not have enough words to thank the BUA foundation for the tireless support it has been rendering to both Federal and states governments in the fight against Covid19.

“The state molecular laboratory is already on test-run since three days and will ensure that the state records massive testing which will put us several steps ahead of the virus and may be ahead of our peers in flattening the pandemic curve in the country”, he stressed.

However, the Governor observed that, “anecdotal evidence reveals that the state has not reached the stage of community transmission, vindicating our strategies including lockdowns”.

He therefore said “lockdown as a strategy could be suspended, if all and sundry follow the laid down social distancing orders including wearing of masks in public places”.
