Bello tasks N-Power beneficiaries on commitment and dedication

Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has charged the beneficiaries of the Batch ‘B’ N-Power Programme in the state to serve their communities with commitment and dedication.
Bello gave the charge at the official flag-off ceremony and Deployment Exercise of Batch ‘B’ N-Power successful beneficiaries of Lokoja and Koton-Karfi local government areas in Lokoja on Monday.
While advising the beneficiaries, the governor said: “You are encouraged to take this opportunity seriously by learning the skills that will brighten your future and also serve your communities with commitment and dedication”.
Represented by the Speaker, Kogi House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole, Governor Bello reaffirmed the commitment of Kogi Social Investment Programme office to delivering in the most outstanding way, and the new direction vision of his administration.
He appreciated the efforts of the APC government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Prof.
Yemi Osinbanjo, for keeping to the promise of delivering a robust welfare program to the masses.
“The development of Kogi rests in our hands as young people.
We all have the energy, potential and zeal.
This is our time.
The time for new Development via a New Direction,” Bello said.
Earlier, the Special Adviser to the governor on Multilateral, Donor Agencies and Special Projects, Hon.
Ibrahim Adoga , urged the beneficiaries to take the good advantage of the programme and improve the well being through diligent and punctuality.
Adoga noted that the Kogi SIP office have worked tirelessly with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the issuance of deployment letters to beneficiaries for prompt resumption at their Places of Primary Assignments.
“The N-power Programme is an initiative of the Federal Government in collaboration with all 36 states in Nigeria; one of the components of the social investment programme (SIP)”, he said
