Bauchi governor felicitates with Muslim Ummah

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state Wednesday felicitated with Muslim faithful in the state on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.

He urged them to use the period to pray to Almighty Allah for peace, unity and prosperity in the state and the country as a whole.

In a Sallah message, the governor congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr, saying he hoped the lessons learned during the month of Ramadan would continue to guide their actions and utterances after the holy month.

He urged them to use the occasion to reflect on their past activities and take corrective measures towards improving their relationship with Allah (SWT), fellow Muslim Ummah and adherents of other faith by emulating  Prophet Muhammad by making sacrifices for the benefit of the less privileged in the society.

“All thanks and praises go to Almighty Allah (SWT) for seeing us through the holy month of Ramadan during which all Muslim Ummah across the world observed the obligatory fast at the end of which we are today celebrating the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr.

“I would like to appeal to you all to use the occasion to strengthen the existing relationships and also establish new ones. You should also imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, love and respect for one another. I also appeal for tolerance and accommodation by the various ethnic, religious and political groups in the state.”

Governor Bala in the message noted that his administration is irrevocably committed to the continued peaceful coexistence among the heterogeneous ethnic and religious groups in the state and appealed for continued understanding, cooperation and support of the citizens towards the realisation of the noble objective.

On the current economic hardship, the governor assured that the state government, in collaboration with the federal government will continue to take necessary measures to bring succor to the good people of the state.
