Bauchi: Bala inaugurates reconstruction of N2bn 22km rural road (2)

Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, Monday, inaugurated the reconstruction of over N2 billion 22km Darazo – Gabchiyari community road in Darazo local government area of the state.

Speaking at the occasion, the governor assured that his administration would work tirelessly to ensure the timely completion of the project as stipulated in the contract agreement.

He recalled that, since coming on board in 2019, his administration had shown commitment to infrastructure development of the state so as to improve the living conditions of the people, and pledged to sustain the efforts for rapid growth and development.

The governor, who said the award for the reconstruction of the Darazo – Gabchiyari road was to contribute to meeting with the yearnings and aspirations of the benefiting communities, urged the community to support the project for effective execution.

Governor Bala said infrastructure remained key to economic growth and development thereby improving the wellbeing of citizens, hence the need for his administration’s massive investment in the sector.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Ibrahim Gambo Galadima explained that the huge investment made by the administration of Governor Bala in infrastructure is to ensure total transformation of the state through infrastructure development.

In a vote of thanks, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu appreciated the foresight of the governor to award contract for the reconstruction of the road and commended his visionary leadership.
