Army appoints Akomolafe as commander of 22 Brigade

Nigerian Army has appointed Brig-Gen. James Akomolafe as the Brigade Commander for the 22 Armoured Brigade, Nigerian Army, Sobi, Ilorin, Kwara state capital.
A statement issued on Sunday by the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations in Ilorin, Capt.  Kolawole Bello, revealed this.
According to the statement, the new commander was until his appointment the Chief of Staff at the headquarter of the 3 Armoured Division in Jos, Plateau state capital.
It said the commander promised to improve the good relationship between the army and residents.
The statement also said  Akomolafe  promised to maintain peaceful co-existence with other government agencies and the  media.
