As the 2022 termination of the tenure of Area Council chairmen in FCT draws nearer, the All Progressive Congress, (APC), Kabusa ward in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), endorsed the deputy chief of staff to the incumbent chairman of the AMAC Hon.Hashimu Saudi Angama as their preferred APC aspirant.
In a well attended reception organised at the weekend in Abuja, in his honour, one of the youths Shekwonya Joseph Daud who is the Sarkin yakin APC of Kabusa ward emphasised that their reason for the endorsement was not more than the various projects Hon. Angama attracted to the area like pipe bone water, renovation of schools, youths employment and empowerment.
He further expressed that going by how the Gbagyi had dominated the council chairmanship of AMAC before Candido the incumbent, it is justifiable to allow another Gwandara to continue after Candido as chairman for justice, equity, fair play and equal political representation.
The Sarkin Yaki made examples of the senate as well as the house of representatives being occupied by gbagyis which clearly explains why the Gwandara continuity is justified going by balanced political representation where all tribes deserve equal representation at all levels.
