Action Alliance national chairman bags honorary doctorate degree 

The National Chairman of Action  Alliance (AA) Party, Hon. Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje, has been conferred with honorary doctorate degree award (honoris causa) in politics and corporate governance by British American University in Florida, USA.

According to a statement made available to the media in Kaduna on Sunday, the University awarded the AA national chairman the honorary doctor  in politics and corporate governance for his immense contributions to grassroots politics and public service in Nigeria.

The award was presented to the politician at the University’s 2022 Special Convocation and Honorary Award Investiture Ceremony, held in Akure, Ondo state.

Omo-Aje, an indigene of Ede, Osun state, started politics over 40 years ago and has held several political positions before becoming the national chairman of the Action Alliance. 

He is a widely travelled politician, and is said to be a political tactician who understands the nitty gritty of politics, hence the award was bestowed on him. 

The University, who recognised Omo-Aje as one of the pillars of democracy in the country, said the award is aimed at celebrating the the politician’s resolve to continue to be useful to his fatherland and humanity.

Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Omo-Aje expressed gratitude to the British American University in Florida USA for the award. 

He thanked the Institution for the honour attributed to his contribution towards bettering the lives and development of people of Nigeria via grassroots politics and good governance.
