Abiodun desires to improve Sunshine’s NPFL results

Sunshine Stars coach Henry Abiodun says he wants to make the team great again following their win over Yobe Stars on Sunday.
The Owena Waves returned to winning ways in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with a 2-1 victory over Stars at the Akure Township Stadium.
Stars have been very inconsistent in the NPFL this season and they find themselves placed 14th on the league standings – just one point above the relegation zone.
“I am not new to Sunshine Stars because I have always been part and parcel of it even till now,” Abiodun told Goal.
“I am amazed when people call me and tell me congratulations.
I am the present head of the Technical C o m m i t t e e Department of the club which makes me part of what is going on in the team.
“We are done with the result of our game with Yobe Desert Stars and we are focused on our next game with Niger Tornadoes,” he added.
“We have been talking to the players because we know that they must be in the right frame of minds to play games.
“They are responding positively.
We have all our players available because as at the last count all our players have been cleared to play by the League Management Company,” he said.
“We are working on the mindset of the players and we are sure they will respond favourably.
“We are doing everything to ensure that the players are in a good frame of mind and are aware of their responsibilities to the club.
” Stars will take on Niger Tornadoes at the Lokosa Confluence Stadium on Sunday
