No fewer than four persons lost their lives yesterday in a motor accident that occurred along Okene-Lokoja road on Tuesday evening.
Kogi state FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Godwin Omiko, who confirmed the incident, said the road mishap occurred few minutes before midnight at Ogaminana, Adavi local government area.
He said the accident involved two vehicles; a Peugeot 806 with registration number Katsina JBY 84 PGT, and an articulated vehicle with registration number QFB 108 QC.
The commander said two other persons also sustained varying degrees of injury in the accident, lamenting that the accident occurred as a result of wrongful overtaking on the part of one of the vehicles.
Omiko said the injured persons were taken to the Okene General Hospital, while the corpses were taken to the hospital morgue.
