2022: FRSC apprehends 4,005 offenders, impounds 630 vehicles in Oyo  

Oyo state Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Sector Commander, Mr. Joshua Adekanye, Wednesday, said the Corps impounded 630 vehicles between January and November in the state this year. 

Mr Adeleye, while speaking in Ibadan during an interview with journalists, also disclosed that 4,005 offenders were apprehended by the command during the period.

He declared that the vehicles were impounded over traffic rules as well as for most of the affected vehicles not having driver’s licences and other valid vehicle papers.

The Oyo state FRSC Sector Commander pointed out that the offenders were apprehended for various road traffic offences in the state.

While assuring of the Oyo state FRSC command of its commitment towards ensuring free flow of traffic in all the roads across the state, the Sector Commander urged motorists in the state to all times abide by the traffic rules.

Mr Adeleye specifically cautioned commercial vehicle drivers against excessive speeding and dangerous overtaken before, during and after the yuletide.
