Zubairu joins Adamawa guber race

A former Chief of Protocol to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Amb.
Jameel Zubairu, has joined the gubernatorial race of Adamawa state under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Matawalle Adamawa made his decision known yesterday in Yola when presenting appointment letters to members of his campaign organisation and other volunteers.
He further explained that his decision to join the race was borne out of pressure by the people of the state and his concern, love and need to salvage the people and fast tract development in all vital sectors.
According to him, he will carry everybody along and work with all stakeholders to move Adamawa a model of good governance and infrastructural development .
Jameel, who had earlier paid a visit to former Governor Murtala Nyako in his Yola residence to commiserate with him over the demise of his wife, Hajiya Zainab Nyako, thanked the campaign team and other PDP stakeholders in the state for the commitments towards his governorship project.
Speaking earlier, Director General of his campaign organisation, who was a former Speaker of the state Assembly, Hon.
Gibson Nathanial, assured of his commitment to deliver at the primaries and general elections.
He noted that with him as PDP flag bearer in the 2019 election, PDP would reclaim the state from the APC, stressing that what Adamawa needed at this period was a man of his experience, competency and track record who has all it takes to give the state a deserving leadership.
