Yobe: Buni constitutes c’ttee to address food scarcity

The Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni, Tuesday constituted  24- man committee to be headed by the state deputy governor with a view to swing into action to tackle the menace of food scarcity in the state.

Governor Buni noted that Nigeria is grappling with the consequences of oil subsidy withdrawal, inflation, unfavorable foreign exchange ratio which is witnessing  the declining of naira in favour of dollar and other economic challenges.

He said  some unscrupulous elements are trying to undermine the serenity by causing additional hardship to the people through unnecessary bulk purchase and hoarding of staple food items.

Buni was represented by his deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, who stated that government cannot allow such negative development to continue unchecked.
