Falgore FC picks ticket for West African football tour

Jubrin Falgore football club of Kano have secured the ticket to embark on the football tour of West African countries.

The Forest Boys as they are fondly called took part in a just concluded promotional football tour of north west Nigeria.

The campaign which was targeted at raising awareness against drug abuse was organised by Drugs Free Community Awareness of Nigeria in collaboration with Kano State FA.

The concluded football tour featured teams from Kano, Kaduna and Katsina states.

Kano paraded teams from the following local governments areas – Rogo, Tsanyawa, Kumbotso, Gaya, Nassarawa, Gabasawa, Kibiya, teams from Katsina and Kaduna states.

Blueprint reports that Falgoe along with others were given an invitational football tour to Ghana, Senegal and Niger republic.

The Secretary General, Drugs Free Campaign Organisation, Muhammad Muhammad, tasked the clubs to utilise the knowledge they acquired and the materials given to them to propagate the gospel of drugs free society amongst the youths in their communities .

The representative of Kano state Football Association Hassan Abdullahi Garo assured the organisers that teams from Kano state will surely honour the international football invitations.

He said, “Honouring the invitation will afford the layers the opportunity to excel in their football career.”
