Wase supports constituents to establish charity foundation


The deputy speaker federal house of representatives, Idris Ahmed Wase has supported his constituents in Wase local government area of Plateau state to set up a foundation for charity services.


Grand Patron of the foundation  Haruna Garba made this known in an interview with our correspondent in Bauchi where he said that the major goal of the foundation called ‘Farin gida foundation’ is to promote education among children of the local government as well as assist orphans and vulnerable members of the area.


Other objectives of the foundation according to him are to protect the interest of the people of Wase local government in the state and national assemblies and assisting indigents of the local government to pursue education.


“We want to galvanize and mobilize continuous support for our distinguished and illustrious son Right Honourable Ahmed Idris Maje in his present position as deputy speaker of the house of representatives and his future political ambition.


“We will collaborate and participate in the development of Wase local government area. We will also promote the sanctity of the culture and tradition of the people of the local government”. He said.


Haruna also disclosed plan by the foundation to assis at leat 50 orphans during this fasting month of Ramadan and sallah period.
