The newly appointed National Welfare Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Chief Donatus Enyinnaya Nwankpa, has called on members to go to their wards to unite and bring everybody in order to make the party one indivisible entity in the state.
Hon Nwankpa gave this charge Monday, in Umuahia during a civic reception held in his honour by his friends in the party in appreciation of his new position.
He pointed out that all hands must be on deck to make Abia APC a strong party to reckon with, noting that the cooperation, collaboration and synergy of all members were needed to achieve the desired result.
Hon Nwankpa was former state Chairman of Abia APC, expressed optimism that war is over, today,they are talking about the new face of Abia APC,a united APC while calling on members to embrace the new found love in the party in the state.
The National Welfare Secretary maintained that APC in the South East is coming on board to strengthen the party, pointing out that the party cannot continue to bargain with nothing little wonder, the people of South East should embrace the party en masse.
Nwankpa, therefore, thanked President Bola Tinubu, the National Chairman of APC Dr Abdullahi Umaru Ganduje, other party chieftains in Abia state, South East and Nigeria for his emergence, while promising not to disappoint in the performance of his duties.
Earlier, Hon Chidi Fred Nwosu who read address on behalf of friends of Chief Nwankpa, expressed happiness with the new appointment.
The group called on the newly appointed National Welfare Secretary to use his office as an experienced party leader to bring warring factions of the party together.
