We’ll destroy hotels, harbouring kidnappers – Alia

Benue state Governor, Hycinth Alia, on Friday warned Hotel owners and landlords against harbouring criminals, stating that those found to be harbouring criminals, especially kidnappers and cultists, would have their property destroyed.
Briefing journalists after he returned from official engagements abroad, the governor said there was no room for criminals in the state and those guilty must face the music.
He said those who engaged in criminal activities such as cultism, yahoo yahoo, kidnapping, armed robbery and regard them as business or religion must go to other places and practice.
“I don’t want to hear anything cultism, if it is your religion, practice it very silently and elsewhere. I want to make it clear that cultism has no room in this state.
“Yahoo yahoo has no room in this state. From the report I hear, hotels harbour strangers who have questionable characters and go out at night to do horrible things.
“Kidnappers also have no room here in Benue, if you know something, say something. Let me also warn Hotel owners and other property owners in the state that, if we discover any kidnapper in any hotel or house we must destroyed it.
The governor also admonished Benue people not to allow anyone buy them off for anything that will make them sell their people by giving information to those who should not have the information or they would use it to distabilise the state.
