TVEE: Arogundade launches campaign to empower Nigerian youth

The Office of the Technical, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education (TVEE) has launched a campaign programme aimed at empowering Nigerians, particularly the youth towards fostering economic growth and prosperity in the country.

The campaign will run from Monday, 22nd January to Sunday, 11th February, 2024.

Christened UNLOCK, all that any Nigerian interested in participating has to do is to record a short video (not more than 90 seconds) to share his or her vocational experience, plans for 2024 and how the government could help and support him or her, a statement from Arogundade’s media office said Sunday in Abuja.

The statement said: “The video should then be shared on Facebook and Instagram social media platforms using the hashtag #My2024TVEEGoals and tag @abiola_arogundade_ssa.

“Shortlisted candidates will be enrolled for a two-week intensive programme on business plan development after which outstanding participants will be selected for a grant of N500, 000 alongside others to win business startup kits and lots of other prizes.

“Flagging off the campaign at the weekend in Abuja, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on TVEE, Madam Abiola Arogundade, said the aim was to foster economic growth and prosperity in the country.

“Saying that UNLOCK is in alignment with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu , Arogundade described it as a transformative campaign adding that it was initiated by her office with the aim of unlocking the potentials of the nation’s technicians and artisans and to enable the Youths to live their dreams by guiding them on how to create commercial and sustainable businesses.

“Expressing delight that the programme is open to all Nigerians irrespective of background, age, gender and literacy levels, the Presidential Aide declared, “If you want to unlock a brighter future, your opportunity is here”.
