Thank you, Yahaya Bello of Kogi state

Dear immediate-past governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state. In a world full of ingratitude, I write this open letter to you to sincerely, in the presence of Allah, the most merciful and the benevolent and to all humanity as my witness, to wholeheartedly say a big “THANK YOU” for all you have done for me since the day our path met.

In a world that is full of pain than compassion, I say again “THANK YOU” for choosing to be intensely compassionate especially to me who Allah has used you to be an instrument for my elevation in life. Words alone cannot say thank you enough for all the privileges you have bestowed on me, especially in the various capacities you have appointed me to serve the state throughout your successful tenure as the governor of Kogi state.

It is to your grace that I served as Ankpa local government administrator, senior special assistant and special adviser, and many more too numerous to mention in this letter. I am grateful and will remain eternally grateful to you for your mentorship and, above all, benevolence. As a leader, you have not only shown that you are a leader in hope rather than the bossy type but you have also passed through the test of leadership, leaving a trail of light which no one can extinguish.

I wish that we cannot let you go if I had my way but because I am constitutionally barred from doing so, I use this opportunity to tell the whole world that you are truly a “JOLLY GOOD FELLOW” and would ever be.

Thank you for leaving behind a Kogi state that has all the ingredients of being a great state.

Farewell, my leader and mentor, Yahaya Adoza Bello.

Yours faithfully and forever,

Honourable Ayuba Nana,

Zonal Security Adviser,

Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro federal constituency, Kogi state
