Taraba Senator Lau connects Mayo-Lope to national grid

The senator representing Taraba north, Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau, has connected the Mayo-Lope community to the national grid.

While inspecting the project, Senator Lau assured that upon completion, the community would be linked to the national grid.

The project, according to the lawmaker, is meant to address the prolonged darkness in the community.

Before the commencement of the project, economic activities in Mayo-Lope were paralysed due to lack of electricity supply.

There was also wild jubilation in the community after the inspection of the project.

Recall that people within the various communities in the state have given him the nickname of Baba Mai Lantarki, which translates to the father of rural electrification.

The Senator, who was at the project site was honoured with  the traditional tittle of Dan-Iya Sanwi Chiefdom of Mayo Lope, as a mark of appreciation.
