The Taraba state commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Alhaji Ibrahim Imam, on Monday commended Governor Darius Ishaku over his support for sporting activities in the state.
The Commissioner gave the commendation at the Jolly Nyame Stadium Jalingo during a dinner in honour of athletes who took part at the Just concluded National Sports Festival tagged Edo twenty twenty.
He maintained that the long passion that governor Ishaku has for sports was a source of inspiration to the athletes who are now ready to give in their best when called upon at any time.
He thanked the athletes and officials for their dedication and commitment which made the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the State Sports Council to organize the dinner.
He thanked various media outfit for their support and coverage to the ministry.
“We at the ministry of youth and sport want to especially thank the media for coverage.
We have been working as partners and we sincerely want to continue with that to enable achieve our goals” he said.
