Suspected thugs destroy Melaye’s constituency classrooms

Two classrooms billed for commissioning today by Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, have been razed by unknown persons.
The classrooms were built in Government Girls Secondary School, Sarkin Noma, Lokoja, and they are part of constituency projects Melaye plans to commission in his constituency in coming days.
Melaye could not be reached for comments yesterday afternoon as his known lines were switched off.
Phone number of his aide, Gideon Ayodele, was also switched off.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ali Janga, said he was aware of the incident but that no arrest had been made.
“This thing was done overnight.
This thing was done in the middle of the night and nobody is aware,” he said.
He declined to give further details on the incident.
Blueprint recalled that some youths had threatened the senator not to step into Kogi in respect of the commissioning of his constituency projects.
