Suntai for burial August 5, gets state honours

Th e late former governor of Taraba state, Pharm. Danbaba Danfulani Suntai, will be given a state burial on August 5, 2017, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has announced. He also said he had presented a request to the House of Assembly to name the Jalingo International Airport after the late governor. Ishaku stated this yesterday at the Government House, Jalingo, while addressing the people of the state after signing the Taraba state Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law 2017. According to him, the government and people of the state are doing everything possible to give the late governor a befi tting burial, the honour he deserves. He also said “if the approval is given from the Assembly, the Jalingo International Airport would become Danbaba Danfulani Suntai Airport.” Th e governor added that the decision to name the airport after the late governor was informed by the late governor’s love for aviation when he was alive.
