The spokesperson of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Ajibola Basiru, has lost his reelection bid in Osun Central senatorial district.
He was defeated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Fadeyi Olubiyi, who polled 134,229.
Senator Basiru of the APC who is representing Osun Central polled 117,609.
The result announced by Prof Ibraheem Usman showed that Labour Party (LP) scored 2,292.
