Sanwo-Olu to flag off 10-kilometre NAF exercise in Lagos 


The Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is expected to flagg off the conduct of 2023 10 kilometres walk/ jog of the Nigerian Air Force exercise at the logistics command as special guest of honour at Sam Ethnan Air Force base, Ikeja, Lagos.

The exercise which is part of the efforts aimed at fostering all round physical fitness of its personnel for enhancement of combat readiness especially as the nation grapples with insurgency terrorism and other security challenges facing the country.

He said the command’s Public Relations Officer, Group Captain Chris Orondu, in a statement made available to Blueprint said the logistics command is set to conduct its annual 2023 10 kilometres walk and jog as part of the effort aimed at fostering all round physical fitness of its personnel for enhancement of combat readiness especially as  the nation grapples with insurgency, terrorism and other security challenges facing the country.

“The headquarters of the logistics command of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) will  Saturday, November 4, 2023 join other commands to conduct this  year’s annual 10 kilometres  walk and jog exercise.

“A routine military exercise will involve participation of all the NAF in the flagged off by the special guest of honour, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos state by 6.00 am prompt at Sam Ethanan Air Force base, Ikeja.”
