The Lagos state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the chairman of the Southern Senators, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, described Senator Abiru as a seasoned banker, administrator and lawmaker, who has used his various positions for the progress of Lagos state and Nigeria as a whole.
The governor said Senator Abiru contributed his quota to the growth and development of Lagos state as Commissioner for Finance between 2011 and 2013, and now as two-term Senator, representing the people of Lagos East Senatorial District.
