Sallah: Zamfara NSCDC deploys 2,300 personnel

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Zamfara state command has deployed over 2, 300 personnel for surveillance during Sallah festival across the state.

The state commandant of NSCDC, Aliyu Bature, stated this in an interview with Blueprint in his office on Tuesday.

According to him, the command had deployed 56 special tactical personnel in Gusau metropolis to ensure safety during the Sallah festival.

He said some of the strategic places to be guarded by the command’s personnel include Eid ground, amusement park, congregational areas, Kwatarkwashi rock, churches, mosques to mention but a few.

The Zamfara NSCDC commandant called on people in the state to remain calm and be law abiding during the Sallah festival and desist from any form of unrest as the command will work with all the relevant sister security agencies to restore peace.
