The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate the circumstances that led to the escape of Binance executive from Nigeria on Friday, 22 March 2024.
This followed the adoption of a motion of urgent national importance moved by Hon Dennis Okafor during plenary in Abuja.
Okafor, in his prayers, on Wednesday, asked the relevant committees of the House to investigate and persecute those responsible for the escape of the Binance executive from detention.
Recall that Nadeem Anjarwalla, one of the two Binance executives detained in Nigeria for alleged tax evasion and other offences, had escaped from lawful custody on Friday, 22 March, from the Abuja guest house where he and his colleague were detained after guards on duty led him to a nearby mosque for prayers during the Ramadan fast.
