Reps summon Amaechi, NPA management over N166.7bn revenue

Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives has summoned Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and management of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) over alleged unremitted N166.7 billion revenue generated by the agency as at December 31, 2016.

Chairman of the committee, Oluwole Oke, handed down the summon Thursday following the absence of Amaechi and managements of the NPA, as well as the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) who were initially billed to appear before the panel over audit queries by the office of the Auditor General of the Federation.

They were said to have pleaded with the committee for another date to cause appearance before it in respect of the audit queries.
