World Cup qualifiers: Super Eagles open camp for Bafana June 1

The Super Eagles will open camp for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Saturday, June 1 in Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom state capital.

All the invited players will hit camp on the opening day with preparations expected to commence fully.

Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George has already sent out provisional invitations to his players.

Blueprint Sport can report that the invited players will be made public this week.

After picking two draws in the last two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, Super Eagles will face Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Cheetah of Benin in the next round of games.

The NFF made it clear that the invited players will be contacted starting from next week.

The game against South Africa is slated for the Godswill Akpabio Stadiun in Uyo while the Benin Republic game will come up at the the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The Super Eagles are yet to record a win in the qualifiers after drawing their opening two games against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
